Well here it is now in 2004. I hope that this will be a good year. I can not say a lot about 2003 with out saying too much negatively. But I can say that our close friend Jackie had her baby. Her & Nick have been blessed with a girl. Also we did have a good Christmas time this year. We took Grace to Broadway at the Beach yesterday. They have a New Year's count down at 12 noon instead of midnight. That way the children could get in on the fun at a day time hour instead of the normal time at midnight which is way past most children's bed time. The DJ was from star 92.1 & he was really good. After the count down the kids went to blowing their horns. Grace's best friend Christian was there. It is really great that she has so many friends. She also has a best friend & several close friends. She really does better than her mom & dad with friends. We have tried to keep her in contact with good company to make friends. Good friends are a very valuable resource. They can make this life really work living. With out good close friend life can kind of lose its purpose & focus. I have friends but I think that I am closer to them that they are to me. But I am not going to give up because they do not seem to be as close. I just try to be careful & not to push it too much. I think that by being too forward with friend then can instead of making you closer to them really pushes you farther apart. We got up with our cousins of Sharon's. She really had fun with 4 girls together. We were going to see a movie together but instead we just ate supper together & visited. Last week I went with some friends to see the movie the Lord of Rings. It was a very good movie. I saw the latest one. They told me that I needed to see the movies that preceded this one. Life may not bee like I would like it to be but it is still good. |

We went to Disney World this week. We did have a great time. This time Grace really got into it. You can see some of the photo we took. We will post more later.It was really great to get away from it all & be a child with Grace. I will post more later. I have spent a lot of time building a page for the photos. I will work on it some more. Learning by trial & error is slow. It will get better. |

Here I am back. I had a posting ready a while back, but windows started locking up while is was becoming corrupted. I just swapped out the hard drive for now. If I can obtain the file [on the other hard drive] I will post it. Since I lasted posted I have changed the brake disk pads on Sharon's car & on the pick up. Worked on both PCs. Fought a battle to get one of the hard drive working. I got a new diagnosis file from the manufacture for repair the hard drive. The after a few failed installs it is working. I backed up the work on CD. Bought & set up a router. Pulled a cat 5 cable though the attic to connect the PC. This week Sharon & I got up with Nick & Jackie for Chicken wings. Also this week I went with some friend with their children to the Myrtle Beach pavilion. We had a great time. I got in a small Ferris wheel with Grace & a friend of hers. It was so great to hear their little thrills. when we would go up & down they would say WEE. As was riding off this afternoon I was thinking about how happy life is now. No I do not have the net management job yet & we do not have a lot of material things but we are hanging in there with what we have. But I have family, extended family & friends. Some one last week said that they noticed that I was in a different frame of mind. Or to say I had really gotten a life. Now that I gotten it let see if I can just hold on to it. |

It is sad what has happened what happened 2 years ago on 9-11-01. It seems that a lot has happened to me as a result of the 9-11. Mostly the economy has been so slow since. Therefore I am here at home because the economy has affected the job market. I have retired, but I do not plan to stay that way. The vehicles we have will not last 20 years until I get social security. We are hanging in financially with the vehicle paid for but I do plan to go & start my second career. So in the mean time I have been getting a lot of things done around the house. So when that job opportunity come I will be ready go move to where the Lord leads. With my niece, my bother & friends working on bettering them selves by education & certifications has me motivated to do the same This is an opportunity to continue my progress on Solaris 8. I seem that I am doing better now because I do not have as many thoughts in the back of my mind bothering me about disappointments & unresolved issues in my life like I did when I was studying last winter. Fortunately I have gone back to doing some things that I was doing before I was deeply involved with my work. I made me aware that I mind was clearer way back then & even now. I now am playing my guitar in a band & I am getting up with my family, extended family & friends. I love them all. I do not think I would not like to even think where my life would be with out them. I just hope that I am leaving a good impression on them. But I must give the glory to God because He is the one that gave them to me & gave them the tolerance to put up with me & still car about me even with the shortcomings I have. I do appreciate those of you that drop in to check on me. I guess I will stop here so I will not go on too long. |

Wow we were busy last week. We met Jackie & Nick at Fat Jacks for chicken wings. MMMMM those chicken wings were really good. I really enjoyed the time. Then Saturday went with Jim & Luann on a river trip on their speedboat. Grace did not like tubing. But Sharon sure did. Sharon is off right now with some of her friends & I am alone with Grace. We took some old bread to feed the ducks. Grace & I had a good time. I have been studying Solaris 8 part 2. I past part one last Dec. For those of you who don't know Solaris is an Unix operating system that are used on some servers in business on the World Wide Web. I'm getting certified in to increase my job market value. But I still have to go take the 2nd test before I'm officially certified. I am also self-teaching this web page building without a program to build it. I am doing it all by htmL code. But I am using another site to borrow information as a guide. So it may be a little botched up at times. Also I am trying to get the photo smaller by thumbnail. Well I am learning that also. I have not gotten the photo as small as I would like. But I am doing several different things now. I will study a while then work on something else a while. Then when I get stumped I will move onto something else. Then go back to the other stuff later when my mind is fresh. So any way I am slow making progress on all of it. But any way I am hanging in there |

Last night we went to a birthday party for John, David & Debby. The party was held at the Forest Brook clubhouse. The party went very good. John is into deer hunting big time. David is into home security big time. Both of the guys are into guns & etc. Since both guys are into guns they decided to make the birthday party theme James Bond. When we arrived at the party James Bond music playing. Every one was to were black like they did in the James Bond movies. We had a real good meal. Then they had a game to find a gold gun hidden some where in the room. There were clues around in the room. So we went on a detective hunt to locate the gun. They would find leading information to the next location telling further directions. Finally John found the gun. It was a water gun. By this time the margaritas where being served. Then the party got a little wild. Several water guns came in to the action. Then there was a battleground of water guns. There at the last of the party water was going every where with the guys shooting one another. It was a lot of fun. |
| Well yesterday & today I have been going through my closet. I have been throwing out old clothes & etc. I now have a stack of clothes & 3 suits & a sports jacket to take to good will. I found some Dockers pants that had a hole in the pockets. So I went to K mart to get some iron on patches. But would you believe they did not have any. So I went onto Wall mart & found them there. While at Wal mart I saw some one loading their car with 12 gallons of distilled water. They said that the Conway water would kill their fish in the tank at home. So they were buying this instead. They are majoring in marine biology. Today I found some how I botched up the free counter on the web page. I have gotten it corrected now. HTC came by to get the cable for the dsL connected. They just showed up with out any call. They just took a chance I guess. We just happened to be here when they came. Some one else is to come & set up the modem & etc. I went to a web site that some one was talking about their daughter. They had the nutcracker Christmas theme. Grace loved it. She went and got her fairly costume & started dancing. Later the music would not play. She said get me the music back. She is so much fun. That is it for now. |

Well here I am back. Today I took Grace to the children's museum for the toddler's time. There they tell a story & instruct the kids in crafts. While I was there two other friends & their two children were there. One of the children was Grace's very close friend Christian. She of course had a great time with them. So I am slowly getting a life. Some one told me that I needed to get a life & a life besides Santee Cooper. That should have been a life with family, extended family & friends. So as it turned out that I had let that job absorb too much of my life. Thus I did not get up with my Family & friends as often as I should because I was being too concerned about what was failing at work. Thus my relationships were not as strong as I really need. So when I left it, it left a big void in my life. But hopefully I am gaining back the life before I my deep involvement with my job. It is really great when I do get up with family & friends though. I really do love Family & friends & love to help where I can. Now I know that it is relationships with other people matter the most. That is when you look past the out side of the person & see into their heart. I realize that is what is important in life & not the material things in this life associated with a job & the things associated with it. When you have good relationship with people you have a good time & do not concern your self with what has happen & you get over then disappointments in life much faster. Lets just say God has given me a wake up call here. Now I have my priorities right. I hope to not go on here with that too much so you all will come back here to read more. Thus I plan for it not to be the same old stuff. I really do appreciate those of you that drop in to check on me. |

Well this is my start. Today I got really busy [for a change Sharon says] & really got a lot of things done. I seem to be slowly but finally coming to some kind of resolution of the major changes that have taken place in my life this past spring. The worst of it was accepting things that brought them about & their results. I bought a small PC table from Wall-mart. I bought the smallest one because we have a strange built living room. It is really a large room but the way doors, windows & etc are there is not many ways to put the furnititure. So we are limited of where this PC table could go. The table turned out to be very rickety. With the weight of the 17? monitor on it was so wobbly Grace could shake it down. So I bought from Lowes a sheet of particleboard & reinforced it. Now it is solid. The whole time I was working on it Grace was crawling on my back & saying to me ?I want to watch? & ?let me help?. She is so precious with her sweet voice with such a caring heart. I am slowly realizing that these are some of the happiest days of her life & should be mine as well. As far as the other things I did, well I cut the grass & cleaned the cats litter box & swept & cleaned her room. Now I am here at 10:00pm |
