Fithian is the name we are seeking!
Hello, my name is Delbert Lee Fithian, AKA: Rocky.
First I would like to give credit to two people whom without them
this page would not have all the information that it does at this time.
They very well may have information that is not on my page. Feel
free to e-mail them if you don't find what you need here.

I started on this search when I was told that my Great
Grandfather
Clement Charles Fithian
was a taken boy. Not knowing what that was and assuming
it could mean maybe his parents had died, they couldn't afford to
care for him and many other scenarios, at this point I started.
After approximately 11 years I was contacted by Brenda who
helped me collect many pieces of information to fill in all the
gaps that we had. We believe we are related, but haven't
found that one piece of information to prove it. After about 4
more years I had a lucky break by posting on a board about my
search and it was seen by my cousin Trudi who responded to my query.
This was the first time I knew of her and what a find. She had just
received a bible and information that took us back two generations
to William Fithian whom we thought was
born about 1770 and
married Mary Clark on 27 Oct 1798. We started to search for
his parents and again Trudi came through like the great researcher
she is and on the 32nd. page of a 40 page manuscript she found
what she, I and hopefully Brenda were looking for. It took us
back to my 7th. Great Grandfather William Fithian born in Wales
or
England in 1619/1620 and emigrated here about year 1650.
It is said
that he was a soldier in Cromwell's army.
After 15 years Trudi helped me find 6 generations in 6 months.
I would like to dedicate this page to Trudi and Brenda for the
tremendous help they have been to me in getting this all put
together for others to see. I know that they like I, hope it will
help someone in later years learn about our families.
