The Great Fishing Trip To Wateree Lake

The story should start out as:

"This is the darnest tale you have ever heard" or as fairy tales down south begin

Y'all ain't never gonna believe this S&^%.

Willie didn't show up on time, y'all know what he was doing. Then his car

boiled over about 2 miles past RYAN'S in Conway. Dinger took Rocky home

to get his car and when he got there they loaded his trunk and was going to take off.

When AAA got there to unlock Rocky's car with the keys still in it they took Willie's

car back to a garage in Conway and Willie went fishing. We were all glad he did.

And believe it or not we did catch some fish as the pictures below will prove somewhat.

After these guys get done unpacking and messing around we will get started.

Their still messing around, but this is where we are going the stay for the weekend.

Back yard looks a lot better, but you don't have to cut grass and your close to the water.

These pictures are called "Getting Bate" & "Got Bate"

This is our dock and boat. We had to get the boat and bring it to the dock, but YJ

had his GPS system with him so he didn't let us get lost. These three guys didn't

do any work as you can see. All they wanted to do was fish and drink Bob's bate.

First fish and the only CRAPPY of the trip.  TO SMALL, had to go back.

Tom's striper was to small, but Tom could tell a good tale about it.

You guessed it, mine were to small also, but I could catch them 2 at a time!!!

It took Willie so long to get ready that he got over heated and had to rest.  Old

Willie has some fishin tales you wouldn't believe.  They are big down off the island.

This is the BOSS fisherman talking to the Captain getting things lined up.

The captain was for the birds, but he missed the bridge.

I throw this in because someone very important to the gang used to live here we think !!!

Anyone know who that person was?

This is the gang packin up to head home in the cold. Poor old Bob Z could do it all,

but he hid from the photog all the time.  We know he caught some fish. Bob was

the only tough guy with shorts that day.

This is in here just to prove the captain could fish.

Sunnies on a fly rod yet.
