Here is My QSL Card

This is my Shack

HELLO from the east coast of South Carolina, from N4SLC!!

I was born and raised in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, which is located approximately 5 miles from Longs. My Stepfather, Dave Witherspoon AB4AV (Now a silent key. RIP Papa) eventually talked me into taking the amateur radio test. Once I became a "ham" (in 1993), I was hooked! My first call sign was KE4DCN and once I passed my General Class License, I decided to get a vanity call with my initials. So my call now is: N4SLC!

The working condition here is a Kenwood TS-850S, barefoot. I use both the Antron 99 (for ten meters) and a G5RV antenna (for all the other bands). The Antron is on top of a 60' tower I have in the back yard. The G5RV is on a pulley attached to the top of the tower as an inverted V and is about 50' in the air.

Back in 1983 or so I was working for the North Myrtle Beach Police Department and was patrolling the beach early one morning before the sun arose. As I watched the sun starting to peak it's orange ball of fire from the horizon, I was in awe. I took out my 35mm camera and snapped several pictures of it. I loved one so much I decided to make it my QSL card. I'm now employed with the Horry County Police Department as a Lieutenant in charge of our Special Operations Division / Central Process Section.

I'm looking forward to working you soon (if I haven't already.)

Take care, God bless and 73's,

Steve N4SLC
