Sadly, Rocky Springs died suddenly on Friday night, March 27, 2009. He was on stage at the Renofest in Hartsville, SC doing what he dearly loved...playing Bluegrass music. Rocky was known as a resonator guitar player, but also played banjo, guitar and other instruments. Lots of people called him the Voice of Bluegrass on the Waccamaw because he served many years as the emcee and stage manager. A good friend to all, he will be remembered and missed.
